RentThisWall provides an online marketplace that helps connect property owners and advertisers for outdoor and wall-space advertising opportunities in South Africa, including Johannesburg, Pretoria, Cape Town, Durban and Bloemfontein. The service is based in Braamfontein, Johannesburg and is managed by Astros Marketing (Pty) Ltd. We may update, suspend, or withdraw any part of the marketplace if needed for maintenance, compliance, or operational reasons.
You may use the site only for lawful business purposes and in a way that does not interfere with other users, our systems, or the rights of property owners and advertisers. You must not submit false details, misuse the enquiry process, or attempt to access restricted areas of the site.
2. Listings, availability and property consent
Listings on the marketplace are provided for information and booking coordination only. Availability can change quickly and a listed site may be removed, paused, or updated at any time if the owner changes their instructions or the space becomes unavailable. We do our best to keep listing details current, but final confirmation is always subject to the property owner's consent and any required local municipal bylaw approval.
- The property owner must approve the use of the wall or billboard space before any booking is confirmed.
- Advertisers remain responsible for checking that their proposed use suits the site, structure and local rules.
- Consent, bylaw process support, and scheduling are handled as part of the booking process, but approval is not guaranteed.
3. Advertiser responsibilities and artwork requirements
If you place or request an advertisement through the marketplace, you are responsible for the accuracy, legality and suitability of your content. Artwork must meet the required size, resolution and format for the specific site. We may ask for revisions if material is not suitable for outdoor display, installation or municipal review.
You confirm that your campaign does not infringe copyright, trade marks, image rights, or any other legal rights. You must also ensure that any claims, promotions or prices in your advert are true and can be supported. If a submission appears unsafe, misleading, or non-compliant, we may decline to list it or pause the booking process.
4. Listings, photos and site information
Site photos, listing copy and location details are prepared to help users compare options and plan bookings. While we aim to describe spaces accurately, photographs may be taken at different times of day and conditions may vary because of weather, load-shedding, traffic changes, nearby construction or seasonal growth around the site. Coastal humidity, dust, and city centre wear can also affect how a wall or billboard looks over time.
- We may edit listing wording for clarity, consistency and compliance.
- We may update availability, specs, and booking notes without prior notice.
- We are not responsible for minor visual differences between the listing and the physical site.
5. Booking coordination, installation and monitoring
When a booking moves forward, we may coordinate the booking steps, artwork checks, installation scheduling and campaign monitoring with the relevant parties. You agree to provide information in good time and to cooperate with any access, safety, or timing requirements linked to the property. Delays may happen if access is restricted, weather is poor, or the local approval process takes longer than expected.
We do not guarantee exact installation dates unless confirmed in writing as part of the booking process. If a campaign is delayed because of matters outside our control, we will work with the parties involved to find a practical next step where possible.
6. Liability, legal limits and contact
To the fullest extent allowed by South African law, Astros Marketing (Pty) Ltd, its directors, employees and contractors will not be liable for indirect loss, lost profit, missed opportunity, or any claim arising from delayed approvals, inaccurate third-party information, site access issues, or interruption of service. Nothing in these terms limits liability where the law does not allow that limitation.
